Frequently Asked Questions

Based in Toogoolawah, Queensland, I specialise in pet and equine photography for people who value meaningful imagery and a guided, professional experience. These frequently asked questions are designed to explain how I work, what to expect, and whether my approach is the right fit for you.

  • I specialise in pet and equine photography, creating artwork for people who want more than quick snapshots.

My focus is on capturing real connection, strong composition, and images that are designed to live on your walls, not disappear into a phone gallery. The work is intentional and carefully guided from start to finish.

If you are looking for a photographer who can confidently handle real people, real environments, and real expectations, you are in the right place.

If you would like more detail, you can explore my Pet Photography and Horse Photography pages, where I explain the experience and approach for each in full.

If you are shopping purely on price, this may not be the right fit, and that’s okay.

  • That’s not a problem.

Most animals do not sit still or look on cue, and I do not expect them to. Capturing expression, personality, and connection is part of my job, not something your pet needs to perform for.

I work patiently and adapt to each animal, allowing natural behaviour to guide the session. Movement, curiosity, and individuality are often what create the most meaningful images. My role is to anticipate those moments and photograph them as they happen.

You do not need to train your pet to pose. Showing up as they are is enough.

  • For my photography, I charge a $200 session fee, which includes:

    • A pre-session phone consultation

    • Up to a one hour photography session

    • Access to my exclusive Client Lounge

    • A $200 credit to put towards digital files, wall art, or albums

    • A design and ordering appointment

    • Travel within 1.5 hours of Toogoolawah, Queensland

Digital collections start from $650 and wall art collections start from $750.

  • You are booking a professional pet and equine photographer, not just time in front of a camera.

My work is built around capturing personality, connection, and emotional impact, not generic images. Every session is intentionally guided to tell the story of your animal and your bond with them, resulting in polished, high quality artwork designed to last.

    This includes:

    • A guided experience designed to bring out natural expression and character

    • Photography that focuses on emotion, presence and storytelling

    • Careful image selection and professional finishing, not bulk edits

    • Final images created with wall art and legacy pieces in mind

The goal is not volume. The goal is meaningful images that feel like them, finished to a standard you are proud to display.

  • Your images are not delivered as a rushed online gallery.

Within two weeks of your photography session, you will receive an invitation to a design and ordering appointment. During this appointment, I will present your images and guide you through selecting the digital files, wall art or albums that best suit your home and your story.

    This process allows you to:

    • See your images professionally presented

    • Choose products with guidance, not guesswork

    • Create artwork that has intention and longevity

If you have a specific deadline, it is important to mention this before your session so it can be planned for appropriately.

  • No.

My work is intentionally finished and professionally polished. RAW files are incomplete and do not represent the standard, emotional impact, or quality I am known for.

What you see during your design and ordering appointment are the final images. Carefully selected, edited and prepared for display as artwork in your home or as legacy pieces.

Clients choose my work for the finished result, not unfinished files.

  • Yes. Style and theme are discussed during your pre-experience phone consultation.

This is where we talk through what matters most to you, the personality of your animal, and the overall feel you are drawn to. From there, I guide the session using my experience to capture genuine expression, connection, and emotional impact.

I do not recreate other photographers’ work or force a style that does not suit the subject. Each session is tailored, not templated, and designed to tell your story in a way that feels natural and authentic.

  • That is completely normal, and it’s not something you need to solve.

My sessions are guided and unforced, with the focus on your animal and the connection you share. I direct gently, keep things relaxed, and allow moments to unfold naturally rather than asking you to perform or pose.

You do not need to know what to do. Creating a calm environment where real expression can surface is part of my role as a professional photographer.

If you feel really uncomfortable, I can plan detailed photos with your pet so that only a shoulder or part of a leg is shown in the photo but you’re still included.

  • Yes.

Sessions are included within 1.5 hours’ drive of Toogoolawah, Queensland. Travel beyond this distance may be arranged by agreement and may incur a travel fee, which will be discussed during the planning stage.iption

  • That’s completely fine.

Good photography holds its value. Cheap photography explains itself later.

If you are unsure, you are welcome to book a free, no-obligation phone call to talk things through and get clear on whether this is the right fit for you. These calls are designed to answer questions and help guide your decision, not to pressure you into booking.

You can request this call through the form on my home page. When you are ready to do it properly, you will know.

    Final Tip
